Vijay brings an extensive background of more than 17 years in corporate deal-making, where he has successfully led and closed numerous domestic and cross-border transactions. His expertise encompasses fundraising initiatives as well as inbound and outbound acquisitions.
As head of Corporate Development, Vijay partners with the founders who are shaping the India of tomorrow. Leveraging his broad network of global investors and corporate connections, He helps raise capital and facilitate strategic alliances for our portfolio companies. His insights and contributions support their sustained growth and success.
Journey
Prior to joining Matrix, Vijay led the Corporate Development and Strategy functions at Shadowfax Technologies where he played a pivotal role in the company securing its Series E funding. Prior to that, he spent over 15 years as an Investment Banker working with notable firms like JPMorgan, o3 Capital, and Houlihan Lokey, advising on several private placement and M&A transactions across varied sectors.
Vijay holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the University of Mumbai and completed his PGDM from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai. In his free time, Vijay enjoys Quizzing, F1, and Cricket.
